Gettysburg scored three goals in the first quarter and limited Juniata to just one shot in a 7-0 home win.
THE LEADERS

Cianna Miranda (San Jose, Calif./Willow Glen) bookend the first shutout of the season with a pair of surreal goals where she knocked balls out of the air and into the cage.
FOR THE FOES
• Kara Stringfellow made 19 saves in goal for Juniata.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• In the seventh minute, a hard shot caromed off the goalie's pads and
Cianna Miranda was able to knock the neck-high ball out of the air and into the goal for a 1-0 lead.
Sofia Scalzo (Manhasset, N.Y./Manhasset Secondary School) sent a quick pass to
Elizabeth Terranova (Hockessin, Del./Charter School of Wilmington) off a corner just five minutes later to double the lead.
Sloane Witkowski (Schwenksville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) knocked in her first goal just before the period expired off a quick pass from
Charlotte DeLong (Kensington, Md./Suffield Academy [Conn.]).

Sydney Yaw (West Chester, Pa./West Chester Rustin) took a long pass in that got through the defense and finished to make it 4-0 in the second.

Lauren Rudick (Sparks Glencoe, Md./Roland Park Country School) scored off the second Scalzo assist of the day just 1:08 into the fourth quarter before Yaw netted her second 2:23 later. In the 51st minute,
Colleen Ragan (Manasquan, N.J./St. Rose) blasted a ball into the circle from around 30 yards out and Miranda was able to get a stick on it and tip it in to the cage for the final tally.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Gettysburg finished with a 33-1 advantage in shots and 13-2 advantage in penalty corners.
• The goals for Eliazabeth Terranova,
Sloane Witkowski,
Charlotte DeLong and
Lauren Rudick were their first collegiate tallies. The two assists were
Sofia Scalzo's first collegiate points.
