LANCASTER, Pa. – Daniel Casanta (Pinehurst, N.C./Pomperaug), a senior on the Gettysburg men's golf team, has been named Centennial Conference (CC) Golfer of the Week for the week of Sept. 8-15.

It is the third time he has claimed the conference's weekly honor.

Casanta closed out the Gate City Invitational in Greensboro, N.C. with consecutive rounds under par to lead the Bullets at a tournament that featured seven nationally-ranked teams, including three in the top 10. The senior opened the 54-hole event with an eight-over 80 but bounced back scores of two-under 70 and one-under 71 for a three-round total of 221, placing in a tie for 27th among 98 golfers.

Gettysburg returns to action at the Northeast Elite hosted by Penn College on Sept. 27-28.
