Two goals in a 41-second span gave Gettysburg a 3-1 lead at halftime en route to a 4-2 victory at Washington (Md.) in the Centennial Conference opener for both teams.

• Tara Radebaugh tallied a first-half goal for the Shorewomen.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• Not even eight minutes into the game,
Cianna Miranda (San Jose, Calif./Willow Glen) got the visitors on the board for an early 1-0 lead.
• Tara Radebaugh started a busy final eight minutes of the second period, finding the backboard for the equalizer at the 22:13 mark. However, just over two minutes later,
Sydney Yaw put Gettysburg back in front, finishing a pass from
Olivia Conte (New Hope, Pa./New Hope-Solebury) before a second goal in the 25th minute made it quickly 3-1.
Lauren Rudick (Sparks Glencoe, Md./Roland Park Country School) connected with
Allie McCaffrey (Green Village, N.J./Chatham) for the tally.
• Jamie Baldwin made it 3-2 in the final 46 seconds of the third period but Rudick notched her second assist of the day, finding Yaw for her second goal in the 50th minute.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Gettysburg finished with a 27-5 advantage in shots and 5-4 edge in penalty corners.
