The team’s top returning discus thrower…Also competes for the 4x100 relay team.

2009-10: Medaled in the discus for the second year in a row at the Centennial Conference Outdoor Championship, taking third in 134-1…Was also second in the discus at the Little Three Meet, third at the Mason-Dixon Invitational, and fourth at the Messiah Invitational.

2008-09: The team’s top competitor in both the discus and the 100-meter dash…Finished as the Centennial Conference runner-up in the discus, throwing a season-best 143-8… Won the discus at the Gettysburg Mason-Dixon Invitational and the Susquehanna Jim Taylor Invitational while taking 19th in at the ECAC Championship…Ran on the team’s 400-meter relay…Posted the team’s top time of the season (11.51) in the 100 at the Little Three Meet…Indoors, placed fifth in the 55-meter dash at the Centennial Conference championships in a PR of 6.74, the team’s second-best time of the year…Was third in the 55 at the Dickinson Invitational. 

2007-08: Posted Gettysburg’s second-best marks in the discus (144-1, PR) and the 100-meter dash (11.74)…Took fourth at the Centennial Conference Championships in the discus…Took second in the discus at the Little Three Meet and in a quad meet…Was fourth at the Gettysburg Mason-Dixon Invitational…Indoors, ran the team’s second-best time in the 55-meter dash (6.87).

High School: Set school records in the discus (155-9) and the 4x200 relay (1:36.81) at Gardner H.S....Earned all-county and all-district honors...Also competed as a running back and defensive end in football...Was a three-sport team captain...Served as a three-year vice president of his class...Bench pressed 315 lbs., a Massachusetts American Powerlifting Association record for 16-year-olds. 

Personal: Sister, Melinda, competed for the University of Miami (Fla.) swimming team from 2004-08...Born Sept. 9, 1988...Son of John and Louise Hochard...An economics and environmental studies double major.
