Tonight's game marks the 87th meeting between Gettysburg (6-0-2, 2-0-1 CC) and Johns Hopkins (7-0-2, 3-0 CC) in a series that dates back to 1936. The Blue Jays lead the all-time series 53-23-10 but the teams split a pair of games last season. Johns Hopkins won 2-0 in the regular season before Gettysburg recorded a 4-1 win in the conference semifinals.

WHEN LAST WE MET: Gettysburg upset top seed and 25th-ranked Johns Hopkins 4-1 in the semifinals of the Centennial Conference tournament last season. Jack Carroll led the Bullets with two goals. Nate Charendoff had the goal for the Blue Jays. (Full Story) (Box Score)

LAST TIME OUT: Three different players scored a goal for No. 21 Gettysburg, leading them to a 3-1 victory over conference opponent Dickinson on Wednesday night. Mike Carracino scored his first goal of the season, and the first goal of the game, in the 44th minute of play. Luke Finkielstein contributed the Red Devils' only goal in the 77th minute. (Full Recap) (Box Score)

NO. 21 WITH A BULLET: Gettysburg moved up two spots in the United Soccer Coaches' Division III national poll on Tuesday to 21st. Gettysburg remained third in the Region V poll, setting a showdown with the sixth-ranked Blue Jays tonight. Johns Hopkins is one spot ahead of the Bullets in the regional poll at second.

ONE AT A TIME: Five different Gettysburg players have scored the last five goals for the team, dating back to Aidan Muller scoring the second and third goals at Stevenson last Wednesday. The last seven goals have been tallied by six different players. All three assists during that stretch have been added by players other than the six goal-scorers.

LAST TIME OUT: Sixth-ranked Johns Hopkins shut out visiting McDaniel 1-0 on Wednesday. The Blue Jays run their unbeaten streak to nine behind the game's lone goal from Tyler White in the 19th minute. (Full Recap) (Box Score)

SHOOTING BLANKS: The Blue Jays have allowed just one goal in their first nine games this season for a scant 0.11 goals-against average. That total is best in Division III. In fact, it's the lowest among all 810 NCAA institutions that compete in men's soccer. Five of their seven wins have been 1-0 final scores. The other two have been 2-0 games. The only team to score against Johns Hopkins was Lycoming, which forged a 1-all draw on Sept. 4, scoring in the 56th minute. The Blue Jays have played 664 minutes, 46 seconds of shutout soccer.
