Gettysburg College Athletics

Notes: Three-year starter in goal…Enters senior season with 312 saves, which ranks seventh in program history…Hails from a long line of Gettysburg graduates, including great-grandfather, Harold Shearer ’24, grandmother, Phyllis Shearer Mowery ’53, great-aunt, Winifred Shearer ’57, father, Harold Mowery III ’76, mother, Teena Stewart Mowery ’79, and sister, Lexie Mowery ’15… Lexie was a three-time All-Centennial Conference selection in field hockey, while older sister, Ashley, was an All-American goalkeeper at Messiah and is currently the Bullets’ assistant coach…Member of Owl and Nightingale as well as Bomb Squad.
 
2016: Started all 12 games played…Recorded a 3.36 GAA and .724 save percentage…Ranked fifth in the conference with 76 saves…Tallied a season-high 14 saves against eventual national champion Messiah…Stopped a dozen shots in an 8-1 win over Cabrini which led to second career nod as CC Defensive Player of the Week…Logged 13 saves against No. 12 Muhlenberg.
 
2015: Named All-Centennial Conference Honorable Mention…Started all 17 games…Ranked second in the conference with a career-high 130 saves…Most saves by a Bullet goalie in 19 years…Finished with a 2.60 goals-against average, .756 save percentage, and two shutouts…Stopped 19 shots against No. 9 Ursinus, the most by a Gettysburg keeper in 12 years…Named CC Defensive Player of the Week after posting a combined 32 saves against No. 4 Franklin & Marshall and Johns Hopkins to close the season.
 
2014: Started all but one contest in goal…Finished with a 2.38 GAA and .748 save percentage…Posted first collegiate shutout against Swarthmore…Made a season-high 16 saves against No. 5 Franklin & Marshall…Posted 15 saves against No. 9 Ursinus…Stopped 14 shots at Muhlenberg.
 
High School: Played field hockey for Coach Marci Boyer at Northern High School…Named team captain and Defensive Player of the Year of the 2013 district championship team.
