Dan Haddon enters his third season as an assistant coach with Gettysburg College men’s basketball team in 2020-21.

Haddon helped the Bullets post a six-game improvement in the win column in 2019-20. The Bullets battled until the final buzzer against some of the nation’s top teams, including close losses to top-ranked Swarthmore College (74-70) and No. 15 Johns Hopkins (77-71). The squad averaged over 72 points per game for the first time in 12 seasons and finished with a new program standard with 200 made three-pointers for the year.

Haddon is a 2017 graduate of East Carolina University and earned a degree in sport studies with a minor in business administration. He spent the 2017-2018 basketball season interning with the Princeton men’s basketball program as assistant to the Director of Basketball Operations.  At Princeton, he assisted in breaking down film, organizing statistical projects and helping in the management of the team’s daily activities.
In addition, he assisted the Jersey Shore Warriors for the 2017-2018 AAU season.  Haddon also worked for the Hoop Group as a site director, setting up, organizing brackets, and performing all duties to ensure the success of the tournament.

A native of Cinnaminson, NJ, Haddon was a four-year varsity basketball player at Cinnaminson High School, helping the Pirates win a Patriot division title.  A two-time captain, he also earned first-team all-division, ranked 11th on the program’s all-time scoring list, and finished his career with 121 three-pointers.  While at Cinnaminson he was a two-year varsity javelin thrower and helped his team win two division titles.
