Young enters his second season as an assistant coach with the men’s basketball program in 2024-25.
Young hails from York, Pa., and Washington D.C. He is a graduate of Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Virginia and Princeton University. He graduated cum laude from Princeton in 2021, studying politics with a minor in African American Studies. While there, he was the captain of the club basketball team and a women's basketball practice player.
In the spring of 2023, he graduated summa cum laude from Hood in Frederick, Maryland, with a master’s in management information systems and played NCAA Division III men’s basketball. In his first season there, the team won its first ever MAC Commonwealth championship and went to the NCAA tournament. He was named to the NABC Honor Court, CoSIDA Academic All-District Team, and the MAC Honor Roll for his performance in the classroom, and named a team captain for the 2022-23 season. He won the Dean's Award for impact on the athletic department and the Coach's Award in his last season.
In addition, he is the CEO of the See More Good Foundation, a 501c3 in Pennsylvania aimed at teaching youth basketball skills and financial literacy. He has spent countless hours in the gym with the youth, coaching for the Pennsylvania Rens, 717 Hoop Dreams, and Global Squad AAU programs. In addition, Young has worked PGC Basketball Camps and for several Central Pennsylvania Skills Academies in his down time.
