Riley Naclerio enters his first campaign as an assistant coach with the men’s basketball program in 2021-2022.
Naclerio arrives at Gettysburg following two seasons as a graduate assistant coach at St. Lawrence University. During his two years, he served as the recruiting coordinator, worked primarily with the forwards and centers, and coached an All-Liberty League selection and a Liberty League Rookie of the Year recipient.
As a student-athlete, Naclerio finished his five-year playing career at St. Lawrence as the second all-time leading scorer with 1,502 points. He also corralled 709 rebounds, 160 assists, 120 blocks, 75 steals, averaged 13.5 points per game, and shot 74.3 percent from the free-throw line. Naclerio earned a spot on the conference honor roll list 16 times, captured Liberty League All-Tournament Team honors as a sophomore, Second-Team All-Liberty League and All-Tournament Team laurels as a junior, and received
D3hoops.com Third-Team All-East Region, First-Team All-Liberty League, and Liberty League All-Academic accolades during his fifth year.
In addition, Naclerio has extensive camp experience having helped at Harvard, Brown, Dartmouth, and the All-Academic Basketball Camps.
Naclerio earned a degree in business and communications with a minor in sports studies and exercise science in 2018 and attained a master’s in leadership in 2021 from St. Lawrence.
