Stuart Pradia enters his fourth season an as assistant men's basketball coach and assistant men's golf coach at Gettysburg in 2012-13. He has helped the men's basketball team reach the Centennial Conference playoffs twice, including a runner-up showing in 2010.
Pradia earned four years of coaching experience prior to signing on at Gettysburg, spending three seasons coaching at the NCAA Division III level at Washington (Md.) College and Washington & Lee University.
At Washington, Pradia helped the Shoremen post a dramatic improvement during his two years in Chestertown. After Washington finished 10th in the Centennial Conference in 2007-08, the Shoremen tied for fifth in 2008-09, missing out on a conference playoff berth by virtue of a tiebreaking procedure.
Pradia, who also served as the head coach of Washington’s junior varsity team, helped two Shoremen attain All-Centennial Conference honors on three occasions. He also fulfilled duties as a fall game management director at Washington.
Before arriving at Washington, Pradia was an assistant coach at Washington & Lee University for one season in 2006-07. He also helped guide the Generals to an impressive turnaround, as W&L nearly tripled their win total from the previous season during Pradia’s stay. He was also the assistant director of fitness center at Washington & Lee.
A Houston, Texas native, Pradia also spent one season as a high school basketball coach in Dallas prior to his stop at Washington & Lee.
At Brandeis, Pradia was a two-year starter and three-year letterwinner for the Judges. He played two seasons under former NBA player and head coach Chris Ford.
