Hunt-Shepherd moves into her fourth year at the helm of the Gettysburg campus recreation and wellness program. She took over the role in the fall of 2022, transition to administration after nine seasons as head softball coach.

During her time on the diamond, she led the Bullets to a 186-117-1 record and was 390-247-2 overall in 17 seasons as a collegiate head coach. In her final season in 2022, Hunt-Shepherd led Gettysburg back to the conference tournament for the fifth time in her seven seasons during her tenure in which there was a tournament. Five Bullets garnered all-conference accolades, including Olivia Moser '23, who earned first-team honors and also repeated as a third-team all-region honoree.

She guided the squad to its second conference crown in the four years and fifth overall in program history during the 2021 shortened season. The Bullets finished with a 13-5 record and 7-3 conference mark, finishing atop the conference in numerous statistical categories. The Orange and Blue went on to compete in the NCAA Division III Regional Championship hosted by the eventual 2021 National Champions Virginia Wesleyan University. Gettysburg played against a pair of top-10 nationally ranked teams, including 6th-ranked Moravian University, who the Bullets thrillingly defeated 8-5.  
 
Gettysburg landed seven players on the all-conference team in 2021. Marking the second time in the last four years, the Bullets tabbed seven or more players on the all-conference team. Moser, who was named second-team all-conference, claimed third-team all-region honors.  

In 2018, Hunt-Shepherd was named the Centennial Conference Coach of the Year after guiding Gettysburg to its first conference title in 11 seasons. The Bullets rebounded from a 3-9 start to win 22 of their final 29 games. After going 14-2 league play to secure the top seed in the playoffs, Gettysburg claimed the conference crown by winning three elimination games on the final day of competition. The Bullets went on to beat Messiah College in the NCAA regional, while providing stiff competition for two of the top-ranked teams in the country.
 
Gettysburg secured a program-record eight All-CC selections in 2018, including Pitcher of the Year Aileen Reilly ’18 and Rookie of the Year Shelby Baker ’21. Reilly, who was named CC Pitcher of the Year for the second time, went on to earn second-team all-region status.
 
In 2017, Hunt-Shepherd guided the Bullets to their fourth straight 20-win season. The team advanced all the way to the championship game in the Centennial Conference Tournament. Three Bullets were named all-conference and Aileen Reilly ’18 was named Pitcher of the Year. The Bullets finished the season with a 28-14-1 record.

The 2016 season culminated with a tie for first in the Centennial Conference during the regular season and competed in the conference tournament for the second consecutive season. Six Bullets were tabbed all-conference, including CC Player of the Year Jamie Abell ’17. The Orange and Blue led the league in batting average (.335), slugging (.481), and triples (16). Gettysburg finished with an overall record of 26-13, including an 11-5 conference record.

In 2015, Gettysburg posted an overall record of 30-14, marking the second-most wins in program history. The team logged a 13-game winning streak during the season and set 13 team records, including runs scored (277), hits (417), doubles (75), RBI (231), total bases (545), and stolen bases (102). The team went 11-5 in conference play and finished runner-up in the league tournament. Five players were named all-conference, including CC Player of the Year Steph Zengel '16, with two players also garnering all-region status. 

In her first season at the helm, Hunt-Shepherd guided Gettysburg to a 20-16 overall record. The team topped the conference in both batting average (.330) and runs scored (221). Five Bullets were named All-Centennial Conference and one player was named to the all-region squad.

Since taking the helm, Hunt-Shepherd has coached 32 all-conference performers, four conference Players/Pitchers of the Year, and four all-region selections.
 
Hunt-Shepherd brings a wide and varied background to Gettysburg. She was the head coach at Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio from 2004 to 2010, guiding the Polar Bears to three Ohio Athletic Conference championships (2007, 2009, 2010) and one NCAA regional title. In 2009, Hunt-Shepherd led Ohio Northern to both conference and regional championships and an appearance in the NCAA Division III Softball Championships. In 2010, ONU won 41 games, competed in the regional tournament for the second consecutive season, and led the nation in team batting average (.382).  
 
Hunt-Shepherd was named OAC Coach of the Year three times as well as Regional Coach of the Year in 2009. She coached six All-Americans, 16 all-region selections, and 25 all-conference players at Ohio Northern. Hunt-Shepherd also served an assistant coach at ONU prior to assuming head coaching duties and she was the head women’s soccer coach from 2001-03.
 
Following her time at Ohio Northern, Hunt-Shepherd spent one year as head coach at Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kan. Most recently, she served as an assistant coach and Director of Wilderness Adventures at Houghton College in Houghton, N.Y.

Hunt-Shepherd began her playing career at Miami (Ohio) University, starting every game she played at first base and catcher from 1992 to 1994. She went on to play one year at Shippensburg University, grabbing All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference First Team accolades at third base in 1995 before closing her career at the University of Maryland. She served as the Terrapins team captain and helped the team win the Atlantic Coast Conference championship in 1997.
 
Hunt-Shepherd received her B.S. in Health Education from Maryland in 1997 and attained her master’s in Park, Recreation, and Resource Management from Frostburg State University in 2004.   
 
Hunt-Shepherd and her husband, Jeremy, have two daughters, Skye and Siera, and reside in Gettysburg.
