Megan Pilarcik '05 has served as a part-time assistant with the Gettysburg College softball team since the 2014 season.
Pilarcik is one of Gettysburg's most decorated softball players. The former third baseman was a three-time All-Centennial Conference selection and was selected all-region third team during her senior season. Pilarcik was also tabbed Academic All-America First Team in 2005. She finished her career among the all-time leaders in batting average (8th, .359), doubles (T-2nd, 29), RBI (2nd, 100), and assists (3rd, 314). Pilarcik also owns the single-assist record with 108 from the hot corner in 2003.Â
Pilarcik has been active in the local community as a softball coach at nearby South Western High School. She is entering her ninth season at South Western and her fifth as the head coach. Pilarcik teaches mathematics at South Western as well.
Pilarcik graduated from Gettysburg with a degree in mathematics.
