Shawn Waybrant enters his first season as an assistant coach with the Gettysburg College softball program.
Waybrant brings a decade of coaching experience at the high school level to Gettysburg. He was the head softball coach at Northern High School where he was named the Carlisle Sentinel Coach of the Year in 2004. He led the team to the district playoffs in 2004. Waybrant also served as a junior varsity baseball coach and an assistant football coach at Northern. His most recent coaching stint came as the junior varsity softball coach at Gettysburg High School from 2009 to 2011.
Waybrant has served as a high school guidance counselor since graduating from Millersville University in 2000 with a degree in psychology. He has worked at Gettysburg High School since 2006.
