Gettysburg College Athletics

Kelly Jones begins her 35th year at Gettysburg in 2021-22. She serves as the head equipment manager of Gettysburg’s 24 varsity teams and as the purchasing agent for the athletic department. In addition, she is the advisor for Gettysburg's Fellowship of Christian Athletes and serves as a Student-Athlete Well-Being Dimension Leader.

A native of Hanover, Pa., Jones came to the College in 1987 and has been a member of the Athletic Equipment Managers Association (AEMA) since 1990. She became a certified equipment manager in 1992, the same year she started an 11-year stint as the AEMA’s District 2 continuing education representative. She serves the AEMA’s executive board and is currently its national certification chairperson.

A three-time district equipment manager of the year, she was a finalist for the AEMA’s Glenn Sharp Award, which is presented to the national equipment manager of the year, in 2003 before winning the award in 2005. Among other activities, she is a member of the athletic safety committee at Gettysburg.
