Al Moyer brings 18 years of coaching experience to his fourth season on the Gettysburg staff. During his first three seasons with the Bullets, the team went 48-32 and advanced to the Centennial Conference playoffs each year.
A native of Hanover, Pa., Moyer guided the Fairfield High School boys' basketball team from 1982-89, before heading the program at Bermudian Springs High School from 1989-93. He also served as head coach at South Western High School from 1993-96 and was recently named the superintendent of the Shippensburg Area School District this past summer.
Moyer was a three-sport athlete at Conewago Valley High School and a two-time basketball captain at York (Pa.) College, graduating in 1981. He earned his master's degree from Western Maryland College (now McDaniel College) in 1990 and earned his doctorate in educational leadership from Immaculata University in Philadelphia.
