Zach Moser ’16 enters his third season as an assistant swimming coach at Gettysburg College in 2018-19.

In his first two seasons on the staff, Moser has coached the men’s team to a Centennial Conference championship and a 17-1 dual meet record. The women have logged a 15-5 record and finished among the top three at the conference meet twice. Moser has overseen the development of two All-Americans, two CC Most Outstanding Performers, and 14 conference titles on the men’s side, while coaching 11 all-conference selections on the women’s team. The two programs have combined to establish 10 school records over the last two seasons.

A former standout swimmer for the Bullets, Moser helped lead Gettysburg to four consecutive conference titles during his time with the Orange and Blue. A sprint freestyle specialist, he was a two-time All-Centennial Conference First Team selection, swimming on the winning 200- and 400-freestyle relay teams at the CC Championship as a senior after helping the 800-free relay to the conference title as a junior. Moser also garnered All-CC Honorable Mention status as a senior after taking the silver in the 200-freestyle and helping the 200-medley relay and 800-free relay finish second.

A Wyomissing, Pa. native, Moser graduated from Gettysburg with a degree in biology. He also served as the vice president of Phi Delta Theta Pennsylvania Beta and was a representative on the Gettysburg College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

Moser is part of a strong family legacy at Gettysburg College. His mother, Clare Dunkle ’85, was a four-time All-America swimmer for the Bullets while his father, Robert Moser, was a national qualifier at Gettysburg in 1982. In addition, his sister, Caitlin Moser ’11, was an All-American on the Gettysburg women’s basketball team and finished her career as the program’s second all-time leading scorer.
