Vandergrift joined the athletics staff full-time in the fall of 2024 as the office administrator.
She is also in her second season as a volunteer assistant coach for the volleyball program in 2024.
Vandergrift served as the head coach at Penn State York for two seasons (2017-18) before stepping down due to injuries suffered in a car accident. Prior to coaching at Penn State York, she coached instructional volleyball for the Police Athletic League (PAL) and the Adams County Athletic League.
A 1998 graduate of Niagara University, Vandergrift served as an assistant coach at Niagara as well. While at Niagara, an NCAA Division I school, she helped lead the team to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference championship game, falling to Siena in five games. Her duties at Niagara included running the defense, recruiting and practice planning. As a player, Vandergrift played a season at NCAA Division I Saint Francis University after playing four seasons at Bishop Guilfoyle High School in Altoona, Pa.
Vandergrift resides in Littlestown with her husband, Mark, and she has four children, Anthony, Matthew, Lindsey and Zeke.
