George Seff enters his seventh campaign as an assistant coach with the men’s basketball program in 2025-26. During the 2019-20 season, Seff saw the Bullets post a six-game improvement in the win column, average over 72 points per game for the first time in 12 seasons, and set a new program standard with 200 made three-pointers.

Coach Seff comes to Gettysburg after assisting at SUNY Cobleskill for two seasons, where he helped the Tigers double their win total in three straight seasons, and achieve the highest GPA in 10 years.

Seff has over 13 years of basketball coaching experience, having served as an assistant college coach (NCAA Division III and NJCAA), high school head coach, high school assistant coach, and AAU head coach. He has coached or trained many players, including current and recent Division I players at Princeton, Yale, New Jersey Institute of Technology, and University of Maryland Baltimore County. Coach Seff regularly attends coaching clinics and the practices of the best coaches in the world.

George, a native of New York, graduated from SUNY Geneseo with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and has a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University at Albany. He has also attended the Executive Program at Stanford University and has a Master Certificate in Information Systems Security from George Mason University.

George’s son, Alex, played for Coach Dunne at Vassar College from 2015-2018. Alex was a three-time captain, three-time Conference All-Academic Team honoree, two-time All-Conference recipient, a four-year starter, and a 1,000-point scorer.
