MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. –The Gettysburg College softball team closed one of its most successful spring break trips with a pair of shutouts on Thursday, March 12, at the Snowbird Tournament. The Bullets improved to 11-1 this spring by beating North Carolina Wesleyan College 6-0 to open the day and ended with a 10-0 decision over Gordon College.
The pitching staff got the job done yet again for Gettysburg as the team recorded its fifth and six shutouts of the young season on Thursday. Senior
Kristy Rubino (Parsippany, N.J./Parsippany) improved to 5-1 and notched her third shutout of the year against North Carolina Wesleyan, allowing five hits and one walk, while striking out six.

Jessica Wallick (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg) and sophomore
Megan MacNabb (Severna Park, Md./Severna Park) each went 2-for-4 and combined for three RBI, while senior
Erin Ober (Lutherville, Md./Dulaney) connected on her third home run of the spring.
Mound duties against Gordon went to freshman
Chelsea Endzel (Newcomb, Md./Sts. Peter & Paul) and she made the most of her first collegiate start, allowing just four hits and two walks with a pair of strikeouts en route to her first career shutout.
Eight players recorded at least one hit in the contest, led by MacNabb who was 2-for-4. Junior
Sarah Woodbury (Audubon, Pa./Mt. St. Joseph Academy) drove in three runs, while junior
Beth McCullough (Ft. Wayne, Ind./Homestead) tallied a double and two RBI.
Gettysburg returns home to face Elizabethtown College for a non-conference doubleheader on Tuesday, March 17, at 3 p.m.
