Day One Results

ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. – The Gettysburg College women's golf team is in third following the conclusion of the opening day of its own Gettysburg Invitational at The Bridges Golf Club in nearby Abbottstown, Pa.

Gettysburg posted 388 on the opening day and trails Hollins University (371) by 17 strokes. The Naval Academy's club team sits in second on the strength of the top individual performance by Catherine Reed who carded a 79.

Sophomore Caroline Nathan (Bethesda, Md./Walt Whitman) is five strokes behind the leader in a tie for second with a season-low 84 for the Bullets. Freshman Molly Nulty (Gettysburg, Pa./Homer) put up a 95 for 12th just ahead of teammate Marybeth Scott (Chester Springs, Pa./The Hill School) who is tied for 14th after carding a 99. Junior Lauren Walsh (Ridgefield, Conn./Ridgefield) rounded out Gettysburg's lineup in a tie for 19th with 110.

Gettysburg wraps up the final day of its invitational on Sunday.
