ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – Senior
Craig Barrows went 4-for-5, setting a career-high for hits in a game, but the Gettysburg College baseball team dropped a 7-4 decision at Elizabethtown College in a non-conference affair Thursday afternoon.
Gettysburg (14-18) out-hit Elizabethtown 15-9, piling up its most hits since its 15-8 win at Juniata College on March 17, but tied a season-high with 13 runners left on base.

Brett Norton finished 3-for-5 for the Bullets while sophomore
Drew Roy was 2-for-5 with a two-run double. Junior
Matt Karis also collected a pair of hits, and senior
Mike Backus singled to push his hitting streak to 14.
Freshman
John Donovan threw well in relief for Gettysburg, holding the Blue Jays (20-9) to one run on three hits in a season-high five innings of work.
Roy gave the Bullets a 2-0 lead when he knocked in a pair of runs with his second-inning double. However, Elizabethtown tied it up with a two-run third against Gettysburg starter
Kyle Conklin. The Blue Jays took the lead for good with a five-run fourth, going in front on a three-run homer by Anthony Heaps.
Barrows knocked in a run in the seventh with his fourth single of the game.
Wayne Leonard (3-1) threw seven innings to earn the win for Etown despite yielding 13 hits before Rob Cressman worked two innings for a save. Conklin (2-4) surrendered six runs (four earned) on six hits over three innings pitched.
The Bullets return to action on Saturday, when they close out their Centennial Conference schedule with a doubleheader at Ursinus College starting at 12:30 p.m.
