WASHINGTON, D.C. – Playing its third consecutive five-set match, the Gettysburg College volleyball team's luck finally ran out as host Gallaudet University won the final 15-13 to defeat the Bullets in a non-conference match Wednesday night.
Gettysburg (14-7) had defeated both Haverford College and Swarthmore College in five sets in its last two outings. After winning the first set 25-16, the Bullets fell behind as Gallaudet (19-6) won the next two 25-12 and 25-19. The visitors bounced back for a 25-19 win in the fourth frame, but the hosts tallied the final four points to win the decisive set 15-13.
The loss marred an outstanding defensive performance by senior

Cydney Bracken put down nine kills and sophomore
Sarah Gorski logged seven kills and four total blocks.
