WESTMINSTER, Md. – Gettysburg College continued to keep pace atop the Centennial Conference standings by defeating McDaniel College 3-0 on the volleyball court Wednesday night.
With the victory Gettysburg (17-8, 7-0 CC) remained tied with Johns Hopkins University (17-4, 7-0 CC), which defeated Dickinson College 3-0, for first place in the conference standings. The Bullets easily dispatched McDaniel (0-22, 0-7 CC) with scores of 25-8, 25-14, and 25-9.
Freshman
Cydney Bracken led Gettysburg with 10 kills. Gettysburg totaled 17 service aces on the night with sophomore
Sarah Gorski posting a career-high eight to go with seven kills. Sophomore
Marcela Pallete notched four aces and four kills.
Junior
Katie Wilson paced the defensive effort with 10 digs, while sophomore
Kelly Milione and senior
Jamie Huffman each tallied seven. Huffman and Wilson each posted two aces as well.
Gettysburg returns to the court on Saturday, Oct. 22, against Muhlenberg College inside Bream Gym at noon.
