LANCASTER, Pa. – The Gettysburg College volleyball team's bid for another perfect season in the Centennial Conference came to a halt Wednesday night as Franklin & Marshall College swept the Bullets 3-0 inside the Mayser Center.

Gettysburg (18-9, 8-1 CC) dropped out of a first-place tie with Johns Hopkins University (20-4, 9-0 CC) in the conference standings. The Bullets face the Blue Jays this Saturday, Oct. 29, inside Goldfarb Gym at 11 a.m. Gettysburg still has a chance of gaining the top seed and hosting the 2011 Centennial Conference Tournament if it manages to sweep Johns Hopkins.

Scores for Wednesday's match were 25-18, 27-25, and 25-11.

Senior Katie McConville led Gettysburg with eight kills, while freshman Cydney Bracken posted seven. Senior Virginia Hogan recorded four kills and seven digs.

Senior Rebecca Rubenstein led the defensive effort with 19 digs.

Sydney Seydel led Franklin & Marshall with eight kills.
