LANCASTER, Pa. – The Gettysburg College volleyball team's bid for another perfect season in the Centennial Conference came to a halt Wednesday night as Franklin & Marshall College swept the Bullets 3-0 inside the Mayser Center.
Gettysburg (18-9, 8-1 CC) dropped out of a first-place tie with Johns Hopkins University (20-4, 9-0 CC) in the conference standings. The Bullets face the Blue Jays this Saturday, Oct. 29, inside Goldfarb Gym at 11 a.m. Gettysburg still has a chance of gaining the top seed and hosting the 2011 Centennial Conference Tournament if it manages to sweep Johns Hopkins.
Scores for Wednesday's match were 25-18, 27-25, and 25-11.
