ABERDEEN, Md. – Thomas Goulian hit a two-run walk-off double in the bottom of the ninth and Stevenson University rallied for a 10-9 victory over Gettysburg in a non-conference baseball Sunday afternoon at Ripken Stadium.
Stevenson (1-8), which won its first game of the season, trailed 9-1 after two and a half innings but scored at least one run in six of the last seven frames, including five from the seventh through the ninth.

Matt Karis led the Bullets at the plate, going 3-for-5 with three RBIs and a double while junior Clint O'Brien also went 3-for-5. Freshman Patrick O'Grady was 2-for-4 with a double, two runs and two RBIs while senior
Chris Simard scored three runs.

Kyle Conklin worked 6 2/3 innings on the mound and came away with a no-decision for Gettysburg (0-3). He yielded seven runs (six earned) on nine hits and one walk while striking out three. Sophomore
Brett Norton (0-1) was charged with the loss after two innings pitched.
The Mustangs trailed 9-8 heading into the bottom of the ninth and were down to their last out with a runner on first. But a pair of walks loaded the bases for Goulian's blast.
The Bullets chased Stevenson starter Tyler Anzmann with a four-run second inning, building an early 5-1 lead. Sophomore
Pat Cody drove in a run with a sacrifice fly before Karis capped the inning with a double.
Gettysburg piled on four more in the third as its lead swelled to 9-1. O'Grady drilled a two-run double before Simard and Karis followed up with run-scoring singles.
Conklin left the game with two outs in the seventh and the Bullets leading 9-6. With a runner on second, junior
Drew Roy was summoned out of the pen for his first collegiate pitching appearance but was greeted with an RBI-double by Tony Prescott. After a walk, head coach
John Campo went to Norton, who prevented further damage by getting out of the inning.
The Mustangs pushed across an unearned run in the eighth to make it a one-run game.
After pounding out eight hits in the first three innings, the Bullets were held to four the rest of the way, as reliever Ryan Kellough (1-0) fired six shutout innings, striking out four and walking none.
Gettysburg picks up its schedule on Friday, when it visits the University of Mary Washington in another non-conference outing starting at 3 p.m.
