NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Gettysburg College volleyball team recorded a split in a pair of non-conference matches at the New York University Violet Classic on Friday evening. The Bullets were swept by Stockton College in their opening contest before turning in a sweep of their own against Hunter College.
Gettysburg (9-4) was upended by Stockton (10-2) to start the day, falling by close scores of 25-23, 25-22, and 25-22. The Bullets got back on track against Hunter (8-4), putting a halt to the Hawks' seven-match winning streak 25-15, 25-14, and 25-18.
A full recap of the two-day tournament will be available following Saturday's contests. Gettysburg begins the day against host NYU at noon and closes against No. 5 Eastern University at 2 p.m.
