GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Johns Hopkins University cruised to a three-set victory at Gettysburg College in Centennial Conference volleyball action on Saturday.
The setback means Gettysburg (15-13, 6-4 CC) will travel for the opening round of the Centennial Conference Tournament on Wednesday, Oct. 31. Haverford College and Swarthmore College squared off later Saturday afternoon and the loser will serve as the Bullets' host in the first round of the playoffs.
Johns Hopkins (27-3, 9-1 CC) won Saturday's match with scores of 25-17, 25-15, and 25-11. The Blue Jays will finish as either the No. 1 or No. 2 seed in the playoffs pending the outcome of Franklin & Marshall College's match at Dickinson College. If the Diplomats win, they will host the CC Championships on Nov. 3-4, while a loss would send the tournament to Johns Hopkins.
