GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The College of New Jersey, ranked 23rd in the latest national poll, overcame a season-high nine saves by freshman goalie
Eliza Gray to pull off a 1-0 overtime victory at Gettysburg College in women's soccer action on Wednesday, Oct. 3.
TCNJ (10-1), which came into Wednesday's contest averaging nearly three goals per outing, found no way past Gray and the Gettysburg (7-3) defense in regulation. After posting four saves in the opening half, Gray added four more in the final stanza, including on a pair of breakaways by Katie Lindacher and Kendal Bernardini in the 57th and 63rd minutes, respectively.

Early in the extra session, TCNJ finally found the back of the net following a scrum in front of the goal. The loose ball was initially struck by Sloan DePiero who was stopped by Gray. The ball found its way to Korrie Harkins who flicked it into the air where it was finished off with a header by Amy Van Dyk into the right side of the net at 91:26.
The Lions held Gettysburg without a shot in the opening period, but the visitors were unable to penetrate the goal line thanks to Gray. The first-year posted her fourth stop of the period on a diving save to her left on a shot by Katie Landrigan in the 37th minute.

Rachel West before laying out to stop a point-blank attempt by Lyons in the 59th minute.
TCNJ finished with 18-6 and 6-2 advantages in shots and corner kicks, respectively.
Lyons and West each posted two shots for Gettysburg. Allyson Anderson led TCNJ with six shots, while Griffith made four saves.
Gettysburg returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 6, with a Centennial Conference contest at Swarthmore College at 7 p.m.
