NEWVILLE, Pa. – For the third time in the last four years, the Gettysburg College women's cross country team broke the top-10 at the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional, placing sixth out of 49 teams on Saturday at Big Spring High School.

The Bullets finished with a team score of 225 but were not far from placing two spots higher. Elizabethtown College was just two points in front of Gettysburg in fifth, and Carnegie Mellon University took fourth with a score of 210. Haverford College was second (79) while Johns Hopkins University, led by individual winner Hannah Oneda (21:34), claimed the title (63).

The men's team, led by senior Tyler Keith, posted a score of 649 and placed 23rd out of 49 teams. Haverford won the team title, scoring 63 points to outdistance Carnegie Mellon by 29 points. Bobby Over of Allegheny College claimed the individual title with a time of 25:09 for the 8,000-meter course.

The Bullets had a pair of runners break the top-35 to earn all-region status. Senior Christine Esposito placed 14th out of 346 runners to capture her first career all-region honor. She completed the 6,000-meter course in 22:51. Just nine seconds back, senior Kerry Campbell earned her second career all-region honor, taking 20th in 23:00. She was also an all-region performer in 2010.

Placing 55th was junior Alex Bull, who was timed at 24:12. Not far behind was freshman Julie Laudenschlager, who took 61st in 24:25. Sophomore Meagan Lesniak rounded out the team score, placing 78th in 24:45.

Also running were sophomore Alyssa Beyer, who took 84th in 24:49, and freshman Katie Burns, who was 152nd in 25:56.

Keith paced the Bullet men, taking 97th out of 343 runners and finishing in 27:34 – just 10 seconds shy of his personal record (PR). As they have all season, the Bullets raced well as a pack, with just 54 seconds separating the team's first through fifth finishers.

Sophomore Jeff Horvath was next across the line for the Orange & Blue, placing 119th in 27:57. Also figuring into the team score were senior Joe Sharp, who was 142nd in 28:13, freshman Jackson Davis, who came in 151st in 28:21, and freshman Nathan Cody, who placed 158th in 28:28.

Junior Cole Rossiter also raced and took 160th in 28:31 while his younger brother, freshman Noah Rossiter was 219th in 29:28.
