GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Senior forward
Alyssa Oursler posted 16 points, six rebounds, four blocked shots, and three steals in her final home appearance, leading the Gettysburg College women's basketball team to a 68-56 win over Dickinson College in a Centennial Conference game Wednesday evening inside Bream Gymnasium.
Gettysburg (12-12, 10-9 CC), which trailed just once the entire evening, opened up a 40-24 halftime lead after closing the opening period on a 10-1 run.
The Red Devils (3-21, 3-16 CC) never got closer than 11 the rest of the way, and the Bullets margin swelled to 19 (57-38) after a pair of Oursler free throws with 10:35 remaining.
Sophomore forward
Caroline Murphy added 12 points for Gettysburg, which had 11 different players figure into the scoring column. Senior center
Sara Kinsley notched six points and eight rebounds in her home finale while sophomore guard
Cori Younghans dished out four assists.
Bridget Borgese scored 14 points for Dickinson while Sarah Phillips added 12 points.
Gettysburg concludes its season on Saturday when it visits McDaniel College at 1 p.m. in another Centennial Conference affair.
