CARLISLE, Pa. – Senior attacker Hannah Church recorded six goals and became the eighth Gettysburg College women's lacrosse player to reach 200 career points as the top-ranked Bullets knocked off Dickinson College 15-8 in a Centennial Conference meeting on Tuesday.

Church started and finished the day for Gettysburg (7-0, 3-0 CC), netting the first goal of the game and her 200th career point at 27:53 and turning in the final tally with 58 seconds left in the game. She added an assist for a seven-point afternoon. Junior Lindsey Robinson added two goals and two assists, while sophomore Katie Blumenthal contributed two scores off the bench.

The Bullets turned in the first seven goals of the game before Dickinson (4-6, 1-2 CC) netted back-to-back scores late in the first half. Gettysburg closed the half with goals by Robinson and Blumenthal before Church tossed in the opening goal of the final period to spot the visitors a 10-2 lead.

Gettysburg led 13-4 following another goal by Church at 16:33, but the Red Devils closed the gap to five with a four-goal run, the longest goal streak by an opponent this season, down to 7:38. The Bullets sealed the deal in the final minutes, however, as sophomore Bailey Beardsley and Church turned in the last two goals.

The victory also marked the 298th career win for Gettysburg head coach Carol Cantele '83. She needs two more wins to become just the seventh women's lacrosse coach in the NCAA (all divisions) to reach 300. Cantele is 298-111 (.729 winning percentage) during her 24 years as a collegiate head coach, including 274-88 (.749) in 20 years at Gettysburg.

Gettysburg led Dickinson in shots (31-22) and ground balls (27-20), but the Red Devils became the first team to beat the Bullets on the draw this season with a 16-9 advantage in draw controls.

Senior goalkeeper Maddie Coleman stopped eight shots and picked up three ground balls for Gettysburg. Junior Kat Nestor posted a team-high four ground balls and junior Hayward Sawers tallied three ground balls and one caused turnover.

Kelly Haglund and Val Hoffman each tossed in a pair of goals for the Red Devils. Amanda Morse made 11 saves in goal and Brett Whelan posted nine draw controls and five ground balls.

Gettysburg's faces arguably its toughest challenge to date next time out as the team travels to No. 4 The College of New Jersey on Friday, March 30. Game time is 6 p.m.
