Junior Brett Norton threw a scoreless inning of relief while freshman Kyle Beldoch made his collegiate debut in the ninth, allowing one run on two hits and a walk.

Guerra (3-0) threw eight innings, allowing just four hits and two walks while fanning seven. He retired the final nine batters he faced before giving way to Theriault in the ninth.

Franklin & Marshall needed just three hits to put up their five spot in the fifth, which included two walks and two errors. The Dips added two runs in the sixth and one in the eighth.

The Bullets had their best scoring chance in the fourth, when they put runners on second and third with one out following a single from Posch and a double from sophomore Nate Simon. But Guerra escaped with a strikeout and groundout.

Gettysburg returns home on Saturday, when it hosts Swarthmore College in a Centennial Conference doubleheader beginning at 12:30 p.m.
