Gettysburg was two points from victory after a service ace from senior
Courtney Cyr (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks West) before the Spartans called timeout and ended the match on a 5-1 run. A Bergin kill made it 14-14, but a kill from Hicks followed by a Gettysburg blocking error clinched it for the Spartans.
The Bullets pick up their schedule with a home tri-match on Saturday. Gettysburg takes on Ursinus College at noon in its Centennial Conference opener before facing St. Mary's (Md.) College at 2 p.m. in a non-conference tilt.
