Late Bullets Comeback Falls Just Short As Gettysburg Falls In Overtime

Fredericksburg, Va. – Mary Washington scored less than four minutes into the opening overtime period for the win in Wednesday afternoon's non-conference men's soccer match with Gettysburg.

The Eagles opened the scoring in the 36th minute on Lino Gallo's third goal of the season.

In the 78th minute, Andrew McLane (Newtown, Pa./St. Joe's Prep) put the Bullets on the board with his first goal of the season on a header off a cross from Brooks Taylor (Nashville, Tenn./Taft School (Conn.).

Senior Connor Darrell (Cream Ridge, N.J./Allentown) finished the game with five saves.

Gettysburg held a 13-11 shot advantage on the day. Taylor led the Bullets shooters with three shots on goal on four attempts.

The Bullets get back into Centennial Conference play on Saturday as they travel to Muhlenberg College for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
