The Bullets out-shot the hosts 11-2 in the opening half and registered two more scores in the final seven minutes of the stanza, both off the foot of Baltz. Senior Colleen Looney (Virginia Beach, Va./Bishop Sullivan Catholic) was credited with the assist on the final score of the period.
Early in the final half, Behan capped the scoring by finishing off a cross by Phillips at 51:33. The score was Behan's fourth of the season, tying her with Phillips for the team lead.
Gettysburg notched its fourth-straight shutout and sixth overall of the season. The defense held the hosts to just three shot attempts. Sophomore Eliza Gray (South Orange, N.J./Columbia) made one save in the first 57 minutes, while juniors Paige Della Badia (Scotch Plains, N.J./Scotch Plains-Fanwood) and Morgan Patullo (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan) combined to play the final 33 minutes in goal. Patullo notched a save in the 87th minute.
Behan and Phillips each led Gettysburg with three shot attempts.
Gettysburg's eight-match unbeaten streak is its longest since 2004 when the team ran off a streak of 13 (11-0-2) contests without a loss. The only season which featured a better start was 1993 when the Bullets opened 14-0.
Gettysburg returns to action next Saturday (Sept. 28) when it hosts Haverford College at 1 p.m. as part of Homecoming Weekend.
