Box Score GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Gettysburg College volleyball team recorded its second-best attacking night of the season in dispatching Dickinson College in three sets Wednesday night.
Gettysburg (16-8, 3-2 CC) took out Dickinson (5-11, 1-5 CC) in just an hour with scores of 25-15, 25-12, and 25-16. The Bullets connected on 32.9 percent of their attack attempts, marking the team's second-best outing of the fall. Gettysburg logged a 38.6 attack rate against Manhattanville College on Sept. 20.
Sophomore
Laura Bergin (Charlottesville, Va./Western Albemarle) posted 10 kills and nine digs to pace the Bullets. Freshman
Maddie Weikert (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg) turned in seven kills and sophomore
Hannah Dallman (Fairfax, Va./W.T. Woodson) connected on six kills in just nine attempts.
Freshman setter
Stephanie Blair (Chester, N.J./West Morris Mendham) logged four kills, 21 assists and six digs. Junior libero
Hannah Bentz (Shrewsbury, Pa./Susquehannock) added seven digs, five assists, and two aces, while freshman
Katherine Gilbert (Baltimore, Md./Notre Dame Prep) picked up three aces and six digs.
Gillian Chan led Dickinson with 10 kills and Arielle Misrok put up 10 digs.
Gettysburg hosts Bryn Mawr College this Saturday at 1 p.m.
