Box Score 2 HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Gettysburg College volleyball dropped its first Centennial Conference decision of the year to Haverford College, but the Bullets rebounded for a 3-0 non-conference win over Baruch College.
Haverford (13-7, 4-0 CC) remained perfect in conference play with a 3-0 win (25-18, 25-19, 25-17) over Gettysburg (14-6, 2-1 CC). The Fords posted a solid attack percentage of .288 and logged five total blocks in the match.
Sophomore
Laura Bergin (Charlottesville, Va./Western Albemarle) led the attack with 14 kills and put up 11 digs. Freshman
Stephanie Blair (Chester, N.J./West Morris Mendham) dished out 28 assists and put up 11 digs, while junior
Hannah Bentz (Shrewsbury, Pa./Susquehannock) tallied 10 digs.
Nina Mutty and Meg O'Day led Haverford with a dozen kills apiece.
The Bullets bounced back with a sweep (25-16, 28-26, 25-15) of Baruch (8-10). Bergin again held the hot hand, knocking down 14 kills for her 14th double-figure kill outing of the season. Blair dished out 29 assists and Bentz posted 19 digs. Freshman
Katherine Gilbert (Baltimore, Md./Notre Dame Prep) served three aces.
