Pete Christ (Pittstown, N.J./Delaware Valley Regional) scored 19 points while senior guard
Sean Gordon (Broomall, Pa./Malvern Prep) registered 16 points, nine assists, seven rebounds, and four steals as the Gettysburg College men's basketball team cruised by Moravian College 83-69 in the first round of the Gettysburg Tip-Off Tournament Saturday evening in Bream Gymnasium.
With the win, the Bullets advance to the tournament championship game and will take on Washington and Lee University, a 72-65 winner over Hood College in the tournament's opening game on Saturday. Andy Kleinlein led the Generals with 19 points on 5-of-9 3-point shooting while Terell Buyck paced Hood with 21 points.
Brandon McGuire scored a game-high 20 points for Moravian, which will meet Hood in the consolation game at 2 p.m. on Sunday. The championship game is set for 4 p.m.

Kevin Gladstone (Havertown, Pa./Haverford) tied a career-high with 14 points for the Bullets, who shot 52.5 percent from the field, while by sophomore forward
Tanner Kirkpatrick (Carlisle, Pa./Cumberland Valley) added 11 points, five rebounds, and two blocked shots.
Izel Dickerson scored 16 points for Moravian while Isaiah Jennings contributed 14 points.

Tanner Kirkpatrick (Carlisle, Pa./Cumberland Valley), to open up their largest lead of the night at 66-46. Moravian was unable to get closer than 12 the rest of the way.
The Bullets trailed just once on the night – when it was 7-5 with 16:21 left in the first half. A 12-2 Gettysburg run put the Orange and Blue up 17-9 with 11:09 on the clock, and the lead would reach 16 (34-18) after a lay-up from freshman center Vitor Melo (Brasilia, Brazil/Lee [Maine]) with 4:14 showing. However, the Greyhounds used a 7-0 spurt to get back into it, though Gordon closed the half with a conventional 3-point play to give the Bullets their 12-point advantage at the intermission.
