Box Score CARLISLE, Pa. – The Gettysburg College volleyball team rebounded from a loss in the opening set to score three-straight wins and down Dickinson College 3-1 in a Centennial Conference match Wednesday night.
Gettysburg (11-10, 2-3 CC) dropped the opening set 29-27 before bouncing back for 25-21, 25-9, and 25-18 victories. After logging nine hitting errors in the first set, the Bullets tallied only five attack errors in the final three frames at Dickinson (7-13, 1-5 CC).
Junior
Laura Bergin (Charlottesville, Va./Western Albemarle) paced the Bullets with 11 kills and she posted her third consecutive double-double by adding 11 digs. Sophomore
Lauren Godshalk (West Chester, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) finished with seven kills, six digs, and three total blocks.
Sophomore
Stephanie Blair (Chester, N.J./West Morris Mendham) handed out 30 assists and added six kills and seven digs. Sophomore
Katherine Gilbert (Baltimore, Md./Notre Dame Prep) put up a team-high 13 digs, while senior
Alesha Miller (Hanover, Pa./New Oxford) tallied 10 digs. Senior
Hannah Bentz (Shrewsbury, Pa./Susquehannock) and sophomore
Meri Lowy (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) combined for six of Gettysburg's nine service aces.
Gettysburg travels to Bryn Mawr College on Saturday for a 1 p.m. match.
