Gettysburg trailed just once, when Chatham led 2-0 for the opening 1:46. The Orange and Blue pushed their lead to nine (17-8) midway through the half, but Chatham pulled to within four (27-23) following a 3-pointer from Alex Schoppen with 2:52 left in the period. However, that's when the Bullets used a big run to open things up, scoring 14 unanswered points to end the half. Stewart and Christ kicked off the surge with back-to-back treys before Gladstone followed up with a conventional 3-point play. A put-back from Stewart and 3-ball from Christ gave the Orange and Blue a 41-23 halftime advantage.
Â
The run continued into the second half. A Stewart 3-pointer and Gladstone lay-in capped a 19-0 outburst and handed the Bullets their largest lead (46-23) of the game. However, the Cougars scored the next seven points, then chipped away at the deficit over the remainder of the game. Chatham cut the gap to eight (63-55) with 4:47 left, and a 3-pointer from Justin Baker with 45 seconds left made it a 71-65 game. But those would turn out to be the final points of the day for the Cougars.
