Box Score GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Gettysburg College baseball team tied a season-high with 20 hits and the Bullets rolled to their fourth-straight win with a 13-3 non-conference victory over Penn State-York Wednesday afternoon at a frigid Kirchhoff Field.

All nine position player starters hit safely for the Bullets (10-4), including sophomore
Connor Tom (Reinholds, Pa./Conrad Weiser), who missed the cycle by a triple. Batting out of the leadoff spot as the designated hitter, he finished 3-for-4 with a double, a home run, and three RBIs.

Junior
Henry Klimowicz (Allenhurst, N.J./Christian Brothers Academy) also enjoyed a big day at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two doubles while hitting safely for the 12th time in 13 starts this season. Sophomore
Will Anderson (Long Valley, N.J./West Morris Central) finished 2-for-5 with a double and three RBIs while senior
Mike Kielbasa (Ludlowe, Mass./Loomis Chaffee), sophomore
James Marcello (Duxbury, Mass./Duxbury), freshman
Chuck Probst (North Bend, Pa./Bucktail), and junior
Shawn Moffitt (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown East) collected two hits apiece.

Gettysburg received another strong outing from its starting pitcher, as sophomore
Eric Brown (Marriottsville, Md./Marriotts Ridge) scattered seven hits while allowing just three runs (one earned) and striking out a career-high seven. He shut out the Nittany Lions through the first six innings.

The Bullets led 3-0 after three innings, then broke the game open with eight runs over the next three frames to push their advantage to 11-0. Tom capped a three-run fifth with a blast to left that made it 9-0, marking Gettysburg's second long ball of the season.

Penn State-York, playing its season-opener, got on the scoreboard with a three-run seventh against Brown (3-0). The Lions used three hits and an error to break Gettysburg's scoreless inning streak of 24 2/3 spanning the last three games.

A pair of Bullet relievers came on to throw one scoreless inning apiece. Sophomore
Jonathan Lucido (Woodstock, Md./St. Paul's) allowed only a walk in the eighth before freshman
Ryan Janiga (Owings Mills, Md./McDonogh School) stranded a pair of Lions who drew walks in the ninth.

The Bullets close out their three-day, three-game homestand on Thursday, when they host Mount Aloysius College at 3:30 p.m. in a game that was originally scheduled as a doubleheader this past Saturday.
