Scott Zanghellini (Randolph, N.J./Randolph) reached 100 career hits as the Gettysburg College baseball team swept a doubleheader from Rockford University on the second day of the team's Spring Break trip.

The Bullets (3-1) rallied from a three-run deficit to win the opener before capturing the nightcap 7-0 behind DeMartino's gem, which marked the second three-hit shutout in as many days for Gettysburg.

The first game was a nine-inning contest while the nightcap was a seven-inning affair.

In the opener, Rockford (2-2) led 4-1 after five innings, but the Bullets came back with five runs over the final three innings. Sophomore
Will Anderson (Long Valley, N.J./West Morris Central) sparked the rally with a solo home run in the seventh off starter Thomas Bolen to make it 4-2.

Gettysburg went in front with a three-run eighth. Zanghellini led off with a single – the 100th hit of his career – against reliever Josh Cooper before junior
Andrew Hourigan (Toms River, N.J./Toms River South) singled two batters later. After a groundout moved the runners up a bag, Kielbasa greeted reliever Nathan Mulzer with a two-run single to right, tying the game at 4-4. Kielbasa moved to second on an outfield error, and senior
Cory Karagjozi (Robbinsville, N.J./Robbinsville) followed up with what held up as the game-winning RBI with a single to left off Bill Fell – the third reliever of the inning.

Andy Kelley (Newtown, Conn./Newtown) smacked a two-out double, then scored on another outfield error one batter later. It would turn out to be a big run, as the Regents pushed across a run in the bottom of the ninth.

Aaron Bezio (Stafford, Va./Mountain View) tossed six innings, allowing four runs on eight hits and no walks while striking out four. Sophomore
Chase Stopyra (Ocean, N.J./Christian Brothers Academy) came on to throw a perfect seventh inning to earn the victory in his collegiate debut before junior
Luke Lawrence (West Chester, Pa./West Chester East) worked the final two innings to pick up the save.

Kielbasa finished 2-for-5 with two RBIs in the opener while Karagjozi, Zanghellini, and Kelley also roped two hits apiece. Anderson scored two runs.

DeMartino made his collegiate debut a memorable one as well, striking out eight and walking only one. He worked out of trouble in the fourth and fifth, first getting an inning-ending groundout with runners on second and third to end the fourth. He also left a runner on second with one out in the fifth with a pair of strikeouts over Regent's No. 1-2 hitters in the lineup.

The Bullets scored the only run they would need in the second, when Anderson led off with a single and scored on a groundout. Gettysburg would add single runs in the fourth and fifth against starter Tyler Joyce before breaking the game open with a four-run seventh against reliever Drew Walker. Kelley led off with a single before junior
Steve Wright (Holland, Pa./Council Rock South) were each hit with a pitch to load the bases. Kielbasa then clouted a bases-clearing triple to left-center before scoring on a sacrifice fly from Karagjozi.
Gettysburg continues its southern swing on Tuesday, when it takes on Hiram College at 3 p.m. in a single nine-inning game.
