Eric Hungerford (New Preston, Conn./Shepaug Valley) a 6-0 lead in the second inning, and it proved to be enough run support. The Mules (12-15, 6-8 CC) pulled to within 6-4 after the third inning, but the Bullets tacked on single runs insurance runs in the seventh and eighth.

Â
Muhlenberg struck first in the nightcap, plating a pair of runs in the first off sophomore starter
Eric Brown (Marriottsville, Md./Marriotts Ridge). The Mules added a run in the fourth to go up 3-1, but Brown and sophomore reliever
Aaron Bezio (Stafford, Va./Mountain View) would combine to blank the hosts the rest of the way.
Â
The Bullets pulled even with single runs in the sixth and seventh, when junior
Ben Langey (Cazenovia, N.Y./Cazenovia) triple and scored on a groundout versus reliever Christian Ferlan. Gettysburg completed its rally with a three-run eighth, which was sparked by a leadoff double from Klimowicz. Senior
Mike Kielbasa (Ludlow, Mass./Loomis Chaffee School) followed up with the go-ahead RBI single before eventually scoring on a double steal, and a Mule error led to the final run of the inning.
Â
Brown threw the opening 5 1/3 innings and came away with a no-decision, scattering three runs on six hits while striking out four. Bezio (2-1) earned his second win of the week, tossing 3 2/3 shutout innings and yielding just two hits while fanning five.
