HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Gettysburg College volleyball team bounced back from a three-set loss to Centennial Conference foe Haverford College to beat Cabrini College 3-2 in a non-conference tilt on Saturday afternoon.
Gettysburg (9-5, 2-1 CC) suffered its first conference setback at the hands of Haverford (8-8, 1-3 CC). The Fords trailed only twice in the opening points of the second and third sets on the way winning 25-19, 25-14, and 25-22.
Junior
Lauren Godshalk (West Chester, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) led the offense with nine kills, while freshman
Francesca Garison (Metuchen, N.J./John F. Kennedy) contributed eight kills and 11 digs. Junior
Stephanie Blair (Chester, N.J./West Morris Mendham) recorded five kills, 24 assists, and 12 digs. Junior
Katherine Gilbert (Baltimore, Md./Notre Dame Prep) put up 17 digs.
After dropping the opening two contests 25-15 and 25-20 with Cabrini (5-10), the Bullets rebounded to win the next three 28-26, 25-20, and 15-6.

Kasey Higgins (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan) had a hand in the final two points, first putting down a kill and then teaming with fellow first-year
Shannon Fletcher (Severna Park, Md./Severna Park) for a block to close the win.
Gettysburg never trailed in the remaining two sets.
Garison and Higgins paced the attack, the former posting 18 kills and the latter accounting for 10 kills. Blair dished out 36 assists and put up 19 digs.
Gilbert tied her personal best with 27 digs. Junior
Maddie Weikert (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg) posted 16 digs, while freshman
Caroline Sequeira (Millington, N.J./Watchung Hills) put up 11 digs.
Gettysburg hosts Shenandoah University on Wednesday, Oct. 5, at 7 p.m.
