Â
But the Bullets were quick to retaliate. Following the restart, sophomore
Lauren Miesemer (Garden City, N.Y./Garden City) brought the ball up the right side of the field and dribbled into the box before sending a pass forward to Klatt, her former high school teammate. Klatt slotted a shot across the goalmouth and inside the left post, making it a 1-1 game.

Â
Dougherty scored what held up as the game-winning goal in the 57th minute, taking a chip from Lichenstein and scoring on a breakaway down the right flank. Mele Johnson added an insurance goal for the Garnet in the 84th minute, cutting back on her defending before delivering a shot from the top of the box.
Â
