GRANTHAM, Pa.Freshman Francesca Garison (Metuchen, N.J./John F. Kennedy Memorial) posted 18 kills and the match-clinching ace as Gettysburg College salvaged a split in a pair of non-conference matches with a 3-2 win over Moravian College at Messiah College on Saturday afternoon.

Gettysburg (5-2) won its opening set with host Messiah (6-1) 25-17 before the Falcons won the next three frames 25-23, 25-11, and 27-25. The Bullets traded wins with Moravian (4-2) with the former winning sets one (25-12) and three (25-22) and the latter taking sets two (25-22) and four (26-24). Gettysburg survived two match points by the Greyhounds to pull off a 17-15 victory in the decisive fifth set.
