The Academic All-Centennial Team recognizes individuals who have been named to their respective all-conference teams while also being included on the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll.
Â
Hilfrank, an Individual major and Spanish minor, is also the Centennial Conference Women's Cross Country Scholar-Athlete of the Year this season. She is coming off a tremendous senior campaign, capped by a stellar showing at the NCAA Division III Championships where she placed 40th to capture the final All-America spot. Her time at the national meet (21:37) was the fastest in program history for a 6,000-meter cross country race. Hilfrank also claimed all-region honors for the second year in a row with a 10th-place finish at the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional, and she earned First Team All-Centennial Conference recognition when she placed fourth at the conference met. In addition, she won three races during the season.
Â
A Biology and English double major, Rinehart closed the season extremely well, running a personal record (PR) in each of her last five races. At the NCAA Championships, she placed 74th while clocking a PR of 22:02 – a time that ranks seventh in school history for a 6K. She gained both all-region and second-team all-conference recognition, placing 20th at regionals and 12th at the conference meet.
Â
Soares, a Political Science major, earned Second Team All-Centennial Conference recognition after finishing second on the team in goals (4), points (9), and shots (39) over 15 starts this season. In one of her top performances, the midfielder tallied a goal and an assist in a 3-2 win over Alvernia University. Through two seasons at Gettysburg, Soares has accounted for six goals and four assists in 28 career games.
Â
An undeclared major, Evangelos captured All-Centennial Conference honors for the second year in a row with his honorable mention selection. The midfielder helped lead a defensive unit that finished second in the Centennial Conference in goals-against average at 0.93 and registered seven shutouts – the most by a Gettysburg team since 2007. Evangelos, the MVP of the Salisbury Elmer Lord Memorial Tournament, helped lead Gettysburg to its first Centennial Conference playoff appearance in seven years and its highest win total (13) since 2001.
Â
Heaney, an Organization and Management Studies major and Business minor, is coming off a season in which she landed Second Team All-CC recognition. The versatile defender made her presence felt at both ends of the field and led the team in scoring with 11 points on three goals and a team-leading five assists. In perhaps the team's most dramatic moment of the season, she scored the game-winning goal over Dickinson in the team's regular-season finale, helping the Bullets to a 1-0 victory while clinching the program's seventh-consecutive Centennial Conference playoff berth. Heaney also helped lead a defensive unit that posted four shutouts.
