Â
On the mound, senior
Rich Power (Toms River, N.J./Monsignor Donovan) shook off a rocky start and fired seven innings, allowing just five hits while striking out eight en route to his third win in as many starts.
Â
The Bullets scored twice in the first, only to see Juniata (5-14) take the lead with three runs in the bottom of the inning. The Eagles opened the inning with four straight hits, capped by back-to-back RBI-doubles, but Power would retire the final three batters of the frame.
Â
Power (3-1) was outstanding the rest of the way, allowing only three batters to reach base over his final six innings, with none reaching second. Â
Gettysburg provided Power with a cushion in the third, scoring four runs to assume a 6-3 lead, then added an unearned run in the fourth. The Bullets would break the game open with seven runs over the sixth and seventh innings as their lead ballooned to 14-3 before scoring their final run in the eighth. Lucido highlighted the seventh with a two-run triple.
Â

Chase Stopyra (Ocean, N.J./Christian Brothers Academy) tossed a perfect eighth while striking out two before classmate
