Gettysburg, Pa. – The Gettysburg women's soccer team played to a 1-1 overtime draw at Roanoke College on Saturday evening. The game was called in the 97th minute due to lightning.
The Bullets (0-1-1) outshot the Maroons 21-7 and held an 8-4 advantage in corner kicks.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Kerry Sammon (Pearl River, N.Y./Academy of the Holy Angels) made one save for Gettysburg, while Chris Martin collected eight saves, six of which happened in the second half, for Roanoke.

Virginia Sanford (Norfolk, Va./Norfolk Collegiate School) hit the back of the net to put the Bullets ahead 1-0.
Gettysburg held the 1-0 advantage heading into halftime.
Seven minutes into the second half, Roanoke tied the contest at 1-1.
The Bullets had open looks in the final minutes of the contest, but goalkeeper Chris Martin made some key saves for the Maroons to send the contest into overtime.
