COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Sophomore
Allie Stranick (Havertown, Pa./Merion Mercy) posted 11 kills, four aces, and a career-high 28 digs and Gettysburg College bounced back from its first loss of the season for a 3-1 win over Ursinus College in Centennial Conference volleyball action Saturday afternoon.
After falling in five sets to McDaniel College on Wednesday, Gettysburg (12-1, 2-1 CC) didn't waste time jumping back into the win column. The Bullets won the opening two sets 25-19 and 25-22 before Ursinus (5-9, 0-4 CC) rallied for six of the final seven points for a 25-21 win in set three. The visitors leaped out to 13-5 lead in the fourth set, but the Bears sliced the deficit to just a point at 24-23. Sophomore
Sophie Gelling (West Chester, Pa./Downingtown STEM Academy) recorded the final point on a kill for a 25-23 decision.
Stranick posted her fifth double-double of the season and topped her personal best output for digs by six. Junior
Francesca Garison (Metuchen, N.J./John F. Kennedy Memorial) picked up 10 kills and six digs, while freshman
Sarah Ellis (Moon Township, Pa./Moon Area) and
B.N. combined for 37 assists and 13 digs.

Melissa Tringali (Cold Spring, N.Y./Haldane) put up 18 digs and junior
Shannon Fletcher (Severna Park, Md./Severna Park) posted two aces and three blocks.
Paige DeAlba led Ursinus with 10 kills, while Sydney Gonzalez put up 20 digs.
Gettysburg travels to Susquehanna University for a non-conference match on Wednesday, Sept. 26, at 7:30 p.m.
